We are a National Branch of the Royal Engineers Association and were formally established by the Royal Engineers Association Management Committee in April 2008. The main aim of the Branch is to maintain an ‘esprit de corps’ and foster the ‘commando spirit’ amongst serving and non-serving personnel who have served (or are serving) with commando engineers.
Although classed as a ‘National Branch’ we have a very international flavour to our membership with members living across the globe in over fifteen different countries – truly ‘UBIQUE’. We meet annually for our AGM and Dinner (normally in October) and every other year we make the ‘pilgrimage’ to RM Barracks, Chivenor for the Commando Engineer Reunion. Other functions and get-togethers are held throughout the year and the details of these are distributed amongst members as they occur.
There are two classes of membership to the Commando Engineer Branch:
- Full Membership
- Associate Membership
